The smart home company Homematic IP is constantly developing its in-house application. A brand new feature is the software integration of measurement data collection for the weather sensors in the Homematic IP app.
The new function aims to increase living comfort by evaluating weather data, to enable protection of your smart home and to contribute to a more energy-efficient living style.
The weather at a glance at all times
The sensors in combination with the measurement data collection are the ideal addition to any home that is to be transformed into a smart and networked living environment. The Homematic IP app serves as a central control unit that allows users to automatically control their shutters, awnings and other devices based on the weather data collected. No more panicking when the awning was extended on a summer’s day, but you were caught off guard by a sudden rain shower. Even the roller shutters can now be set to go up from a certain predefined wind strength or to go down automatically when the sun is shining. The sensors have a robust as well as weatherproof housing and can be individually placed within a radius of 400 metres around the Smart Home.The new measurement data acquisition feature makes countless application scenarios conceivable. And thanks to the independent power supply from batteries and the reliable radio technology, the weather sensors are available in the Basic, Plus and Pro versions – very flexible and can be used at short notice.

The weather sensors from Homematic IP are available in the reichelt online shop. The measured data from temperature and humidity sensors or wall thermostats, for example, can also be viewed in the Homematic IP app.
