Kengetallen zoals de benodigde druk en temperatuur en viscositeit worden gemeten zodat de 3D-printer zichzelf automatisch kan kalibreren. Om er zeker van te zijn dat de afdruk goed verloopt, maakt de Voltera Nova een proefafdruk op een proefplaat.
