The mobile charging unit developed in Krakow is already used by electric car drivers in 17 European countries. Thanks to the innovations used in the Habu GC, users no longer have to worry about how to charge their batteries while driving.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Habu mobile charger is the first such advanced device that offers users of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles complete independence. Thanks to the integration of all components in the plugs, the bulky “brick” is no longer needed. Connecting to a high-voltage socket allows charging the vehicle with a power of 11 kW at home without the need to install a wall charger (wallbox). The charger can also be taken on the road and used during an overnight stay or stopover, with billing for the charged energy being done via a special app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the precise cost estimate of the electricity consumed in any desired currency, the app enables remote control and management of individual charging sessions. The user can freely set the charging power and charging time and adjust the amount of energy to the planned driving route for the given vehicle model. A tool for merging statistics allows the analysis of cost and charging power data in a selected period (e.g. monthly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charger was developed from start to finish in Green Cell’s<\/a> R&D department in Krakow. The goal was to create a device that would be not only efficient and handy, but also ergonomic and user-friendly. The premiere took place in February 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Since the beginning of work on Habu, we have been very concerned about a multi-layered, unique user experience when using the device. In addition to moving the components from the brick to the plugs – which eliminates the need to bend down during use – we took care of intuitive operation by placing the display and the universal control button in the handle,” explains Piotr Hojda, design consultant in Green Cell’s R&D department. Special functions have been developed for Tesla vehicles that allow users to open the charging port cover and finish charging outside the vehicle. The compact dimensions and low weight made it possible to store the device in a handy bag that also fits under the hood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red Dot Design Award jury recognized Habu’s innovativeness, functionality and ergonomics and awarded the device one of the most prestigious awards in the field of industrial design in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use of renewable energy sources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Green Cell is currently working on an ecosystem of solutions that enable optimal use of renewable energy to power everyday devices, including vehicles. The company’s research and development department is developing, among other things, software solutions that integrate electric vehicles into home networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
