With the introduction of the latest version of its small communication module series, the LOGO! 8.4, Siemens is once again setting new standards in control technology for small to medium-sized applications. The Siemens LOGO! series has evolved continuously since its first introduction in 1996. Each new version has brought significant improvements that have made it the preferred choice for small automation projects in various industries. Important: LOGO! 8.4 basic units are 100% compatible with LOGO! 8.3 basic devices. Programs will run without restriction. The current expansion modules can continue to be used with LOGO! 8.4 base units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New in the current generation of LOGO! 8.4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After the successful introduction of cloud-service support with the LOGO! 8.3, the new version expands the support to additional providers. In addition to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft’s Azure cloud services and the Asian provider Alibaba Cloud can now be integrated just as easily. Thanks to Open MQTT, the new LOGO can communicate with any MQTT broker, making it ideal for the Internet of Things.
The new generation’s communication capabilities have also been extended outside the cloud. For example, it is now possible to send customised emails to appropriate recipients for selected trigger events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also several quality of life improvements. Data log files can now be accessed more conveniently via the controller’s web server, which has also seen some performance improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
