Camping newcomers as well as experienced campers have to ensure that the camper or caravan has suitable and functional equipment for a successful experience – and the power supply should by no means be neglected. Which socket for the electricity connection when camping?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
As soon as the camper or carvan is stationary, the first step is often to supply the vehicle with electricity. The blue CEE plug, also known as a caravan or camping plug, is plugged into the campsite supply station and connected to the vehicle’s CEE plug. As soon as the 3-pin CEE plug is plugged into the blue CEE socket, it protects the vehicle battery and supplies all electrical devices in the mobile home with electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voltage range from 200 V to 250 V is marked in blue throughout Europe. The advantage of the blue CEE plug is that it is suitable for permanent use. The CEE 230 V plug promises continuous currents of up to 16 A and very safe use. \nWhat are required are so-called heavy rubber hose lines with the

The correct conductor cross-section
\n<\/strong>A minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm\u00b2 is specified for the connection of caravans and mobile homes with a rated current of 16 A. A smaller conductor cross-section is not permitted for connecting caravans or mobile homes on campsites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camping cable reel or camping extension cable?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/span>Often the power supply from the camping distributor to the caravan or camper is not enough. Power is also required for several end devices outdoors, under the awning or in the awning. Not enough slots is often a problem. Cable drums or power stations, which also have CEE and earthing contact sockets, offer a wide range of connection options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, if the camping cable drum with 25m cable is too long, a camping extension cable may be the better solution. Depending on the distance to the camping junction box, Brennenstuhl recommends taking both products for the camping electricity connection with you: 25m camping cable drum and a camping extension cable.
