Sustainability is a top priority for the merten M-Pure series with Ocean Plastic. Plastic waste in the oceans not only damages coral reefs, it also decimates marine biodiversity. Especially in times of climate change, the preservation of biodiversity is an important concern for all those who strive for sustainability. Schneider Electric and its merten brand are now sending an important signal with the new M-Pure series: The products, consisting of recycled plastics such as fishing nets, are now available in the reichelt online shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rethink is needed <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to United Nations estimates, several million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the world’s oceans every year. Particularly dangerous: discarded and forgotten fishing nets drifting through the oceans. Sea dweller of various species get entangled in them and die – for example, because they starve or suffocate. Schneider Electric wants to reduce plastic waste and make half of its recyclables environmentally friendly by 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The in-house brand merten is now setting a good example. The M-Pure Ocean Plastic product range is made from Akulon\u00ae Repurposed, a particularly durable polyamide with excellent functional properties. This material is mainly made from old fishing nets – merten is making an important contribution to the issue of environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Straightforward and elegant: the new M-Pure <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Matt black, with clear lines and a destinctive character: this is what distinguishes the products in the M-Pure series with Ocean Plastic. This is how sustainable products are created, such as the ME MEG3300-0403<\/a>. The ME MEG3300-0403 is perfectly framed by the equally stylish ME MEG4010-3603<\/a> single frame. The matt black surface, fingerprints are hardly visible – and the velvety-soft material also has a particularly pleasant feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 41 products the M-Pure black matt line offers numerous combination options: From single to triple frames, switches and socket outlets such as the ME MEG2367-0403<\/a>, everything is available. In addition, the products are compatible with the Wiser smart home solution. Because of the recycled material, valuable energy can be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Environmental protection can only succeed if everyone works hand in hand. Schneider Electric is setting an important example with its merten brand. The main component of the M-Pure matt black line is Akulon\u00ae RePurposed. The polyamide is made from recycled fishing nets and thus actively contributes to the preservation of marine biodiversity.
