Heating costs make up a large part of the additional costs for your flat or home. The PT32 WiFi smart thermostat offers a lot of savings potential. Users can save hundreds of euros — year on year.
The PT32 from Elektrobock is an intelligent room thermostat. After the GSM version, which can be controlled by wireless remote control via SMS, the WiFi model can be operated via smartphone over the domestic wireless network. This is done using a free app for Android and iPhone.
Compatible with many heaters
The room thermostat works together with popular heating types. The connection is made via a potential-free contact, which the most common gas boilers, electric boilers, heating circuit pumps, actuators and air conditioning systems have. This makes the PT32 ideal for retrofitting — even in older heaters.
The control or programming is performed either via the device itself, via smartphone app or PC software. The software allows any computer to control the thermostat — provided there is Internet access.
Program the heating or conveniently control it via an app
The idea behind saving energy is: Only turn on the heating when it is necessary. If you are not at home, the heating should not be on. This works, for example, with the correct programming. The PT32 offers nine different weekly programs with up to 6 temperature changes.
For example, it is possible that the thermostat lowers the temperature during the week, when the occupants are at work and at school. Shortly before the occupants come home, the heating jumps back on and it is snug and warm. A different program then runs at the weekend. Alternatively, the temperature can be controlled manually via the app and the temperature set as desired from the comfort of your sofa.
Intelligent heating control pays off. If you reduce the temperature in the living room by just one degree, you can save five to ten percent of heating energy and therefore a lot of money.
