In the case of cars, wireless remote controls are widely used, when it comes to house doors, on the other hand, this technology is hardly used. This can be changed: With the new Abus HomeTrec Pro system, you can open the house door at the push of a button — no more keys!
Most people carry around a heavy, bulky keychain with them. It is not just annoying, but if it is lost, it costs you your nerves and a lot of money. It also makes life complicated: You have to find the right key, put it in, turn, close the door from inside.
Open sesame — at the touch of a button
Smart closing technologies like the Abus system HomeTec Pro make the procedure much easier: The door can be opened by pressing a button on a remote control or by entering a code on a permanently installed numeric keypad. The motor in the HomeTec Pro not only unlocks the lock itself but also the door handle — you only have to push the door open.
The door cylinder does not have to be replaced
A plus point of the HomeTec-Pro system is that no special cylinder is required. You can continue to use the existing door cylinder if it fulfils two conditions: The cylinder must protrude at least 7 mm internally and a maximum of 12 mm out from the door or from the cover mounted above the lock. Otherwise the clamping mechanism over which the motor clamps on the lock cylinder does not work. It also has to be a door cylinder with emergency and danger function. This means that the lock can also be opened and closed from the outside even if a key is inserted in the lock.
The new Abus HomeTec Pro system consists of three components:
- Wireless door lock drive CFA3000
- Wireless keyboard CFT3000
- Wireless remote control CFF3000
