Precise and clean solder joints are a must in industry, service and maintenance. However, even in non-commercial use, there is a demand to achieve perfect soldering results. Many users use soldering stations with a wide range of functions and ease of operation.
It ensures that the connected soldering iron heats up quickly and keeps its temperature constant. Modern devices also usually have an easy-to-read LC display and digital temperature control. This often makes them superior to conventional soldering irons, which are connected directly to 230 V. The soldering irons can be used in a wide range of applications. However, these devices occupy valuable space on the work surface and are tied to the place of installation – mobile use is either not possible at all or only at great expense. The new digital soldering irons from RND are the ideal problem solvers and combine the functionality of a temperature-controlled soldering station with the flexibility offered by a pure soldering iron. The temperature is set directly at the push of a button in the ergonomically shaped handle within a range of 250 – 520 °C and is immediately visible on the integrated LC display.
The tools score not only with their uncomplicated handling, but also with impressive performance data. The soldering irons are available with either 80 W or 150 W power – so they can master even demanding soldering tasks quickly and accurately. The ceramic heating element and the internally heated soldering tip ensure an even and constant temperature with a fast heat-up time. The 150 W model is a particularly hot iron: from 0 to 480 °C in just one minute!
The safety of the user also played a major role in the development. After ten minutes of inactivity, the soldering iron automatically switches to stand-by mode. This protects the soldering tip and saves electricity. If twenty minutes have elapsed without soldering, the soldering iron switches off completely to prevent damage to material and tools as well as injuries.
