Coffee Lake: Intel’s new 8th generation desktop CPUs

Intel Coffee Lake is available in i3, i5 and i7 versions, each with two variants, as successor models to the brand’s Kaby Lake CPU series.

For the first time in the Intel Core series, six CPU cores are installed in the i5 and i7 version, instead of four. Also, the i3 version has two more cores than the comparable Kaby Lake version (four in total). The CPUs are aimed at all users who need the highest possible performance, and particularly gamers and those processing 4k videos. Intel promises up to 40% higher performance.
