Advantages of the new ESD screwdrivers from BERNSTEIN

As with any tool, it is the personal feeling that counts when it comes to screwdrivers, whether the chosen screwdriving tool fits or not. In addition to a high quality of workmanship of the blade and a robust tip, the handle is the most important factor. Anyone who does a lot of screwing every day or regularly works on electronic devices with particularly small screws will quickly notice whether a tool makes arms, hands and wrists tired or still allows precise work after hours.

In the course of these considerations, the manufacturer BERNSTEIN has given its ESD screwdrivers a makeover and combines an ergonomic handle concept with high-quality blades. The portfolio ranges from conventional slotted and cross-slotted profiles to TORX®, hexagon socket blades and even ESD-safe sockets. The blade sizes cover mainly precision mechanical profiles and are targeted at ambitious makers and professional users such as developers, service technicians, production workers, engineers and training laboratories.

The newly designed handle made of black ESD plastic with a conductivity of 104 – 106 ohms fits naturally in the user’s hand. Thanks to the hexagonal shape in the centre piece, the screwdriver fits ideally in the palm of the hand and offers a particularly good grip when tightening and loosening screws. The additional grooves prevent slipping and allow more force to be applied where necessary.

The highlight of the new ESD screwdrivers is the smooth-running twist cap. It not only allows fast twirling, but also allows the user to keep the screwdriver in the right position at all times, even with high starting pressure. In addition, the rotating cap is printed with a pictogram of the blade profile and a short designation of the blade size. This helps the user to find the desired tool more quickly, even if many screwdrivers are stored in a tool bag, a case or a special holder.

The blades themselves are not only extremely narrow and made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, but also have a burnished tip (except for hex keys). This also ensures access to deep and tightly positioned screws with a firm grip in the screw head at all times.
