Perfect for professional use – versatile laboratory power supply series from Rohde & Schwarz

Founded more than 85 years ago, the Munich-based technology group Rohde & Schwarz operates worldwide today. One of the four main business areas: power supplies. Whether in training laboratories or in professional systems: A laboratory power supply from Rohde & Schwarz always fulfills its purpose thanks to its versatility. The devices in the new product series are now available in the reichelt shop.

Technology group with history – Rohde & Schwarz

When the friends of Dr. Lothar Rohde and Dr. Hermann Schwarz founded their company in Munich in 1933, they could not yet foresee what would become of it by 2021: a global electronics group with locations in over 70 countries. Today the group stands for innovation and technological competence. Always looking to the future, Rohde & Schwarz is constantly expanding its product portfolio, thereby ensuring that it continues to be a reliable partner in the areas of communication, information and security.

The diverse range of products extends from DC power supplies and oscilloscopes to antenna analyzers and laboratory power supplies. The main production sites are the Bavarian towns of Memmingen and Teisnach and the Czech border town of Vimperk.

Power supply for training laboratories and production test systems

The laboratory power supply portfolio from Rohde & Schwarz leaves nothing to be desired. The new power supply series offer a wide range of functions and performance levels – regardless of whether they are compact standard devices or high performance for the industrial laboratory. Whether research and development, industry or training: Depending on your needs, you can decide which device is the right solution for you.

Straightforward and easy to use – the power supply units of the NGA series

The laboratory power supplies of the NGA series, such as the NGA101, are ideal for entry-level users. Thanks to its simple and stringent handling, it is the perfect training device. The power supply units of the NGA series also have high readback accuracy and ensure stable output voltages. These properties are critical when designing sensitive components.

Thanks to the excellent programming and readout accuracy, you are able to measure the actual power consumption of a device precisely even at low voltages or current levels. The multitude of built-in measurement options also reduces the need for external multimeters, which simplifies set-up.

In addition, the power supply units offer a FastLog function with which you can record voltage and current values in next to no time and save them on external USB sticks for analysis. The additional Voltage Priority Mode has been optimized so that your laboratory power supply is able to record load regulation times that are less than 50 microseconds. This enables you, among other things, to test light-emitting diodes that already react to short current peaks.

Laboratory power supplies of the NGP series: Comfortable thanks to the intuitive touchscreen

The five models in the Rohde & Schwarz NGP series of power supplies promise a high level of performance for various work areas. Depending on the number of channels – two or four – you can choose between 400 W and 800 W. The 200 W outputs are electrically equivalent and galvanically isolated and provide up to 64 V or 20 W each.

With the option of connecting them in series or in parallel, you can connect up to 80 A or 250 V with devices such as the NGP 802. Unlike a power supply unit with only one area, versatile combinations of voltage and current can be generated here within the 200 W limit.

Even at the beginning of your development process, the NGP devices give you the opportunity to reproduce the functions of your power supply in detail and in this way to discover and correct problems at an early stage.

The extra class among laboratory power supplies – the NGU series

The power supply units of the NGU series, such as the NGU201 COM, are particularly suitable for meeting the highest demands and requirements. In contrast to the other two series, the NGU devices are not purely a laboratory power supply. Rather, they offer a multitude of additional measurement and recording functions through which they can act as a source and sink. If you want to test a prototype electrically in controlled laboratory conditions or imitate electrical loads during development and maintenance, you are definitely right with a laboratory power supply from the NGU series.

Perfectly equipped thanks to a wide range of laboratory power supplies

Whichever area of application you would like to have covered, you will not be disappointed with a laboratory power supply from Rohde & Schwarz. The wide range of products gives you the opportunity to select the right power supply specifically for your needs. From entry-level devices such as the NGA101 and the NGP802 to the luxury class such as the NGU201 COM, the portfolio of the Munich-based electronics group covers every area. So you can always measure your power supply with the right laboratory power supply.
