DJI Ronin-S Gimbal now also available as Essential Kit

The popular DJI Ronin-S Gimbal for DSLR and mirrorless cameras is now also available with a slightly reduced scope of delivery as Essential Kit. This makes the DJI Gimbal in this version much cheaper and costs almost a third less than the standard kit.

Scope of delivery Essential Kit vs. Standard Kit

The basic equipment remains included in the Essential Kit of the Ronin-S:

  • Gimbal
  • grip
  • Camera mounting plate
  • ¼” Camera screws
  • lens holder
  • Camera riser
  • USB C cable
  • velcro strap
  • carrying case

In contrast to the Standard Kit, the Essential Kit does not contain the following components:

  • Focus wheel
  • various control cables (RSS-IR, multi-camera type-C, multi-camera type-B)
  • 24 W USB power adapter
  • accessory box
  • two Allen wrenches

The main limitation of the Essential Kit is the focus wheel. This eliminates the possibility of easily and cleanly pulling the sharpness during use. The other limitations, for example the control cables that are not included, are especially important when you want to use special functions of the gimbal.

In addition, the extension handle of the Standard Kit is made of metal, while the Essential Kit is made of plastic.

Features of the DJI Gimbal remain identical

Even if the scope of delivery differs between Standard Kit and Essential Kit, the basic features of the 3-axis stabilizer remain the same. The maximum operating speed is 75 km/h, the maximum load is 3.5 kg and the battery life is 12 hours.

There are also automated smart functions, a sports mode and integrated camera control.

Essential Kit ideal for gimbal entry

With the Essential Kit, DJI makes it possible for potential users to get the full stabilizing power of the Ronin-S at a lower price. The Essential Kit is an ideal introduction, especially for someone who has not yet gained any experience in the field of electronic camera stabilizers.
