In the following, we provide information on the collection of personal data in the case of business transactions. Personal information is information that an individual are assigned to or can be assigned to, such as your address, e-mail address, Payment Information, goods ordered.

2.1. We attach high importance to data protection. Therefore we comply with the Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act (German law) for all our activities in collecting, processing and using personal data.

The personal information you provide to us is primarily used for the smooth processing of orders, deliveries and payment processing, and, if necessary, for the processing of returns, and warranty claims. We also use your information for customer service, and to inform you about orders, products, services and offers. Reichelt elektronik GmbH & Co. KG (“we”) will not transmit your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.

If we provide services in advance, we receive as a safeguard of our legitimate interests information about your previous payment behavior and credit information based on mathematical and statistical methods (scoring) using address data from the credit reference agencies Infoscore Consumer Data GmbH, Rheinstraße 99, 76532 Baden-Baden, Germany, Schufa, Kormoranweg 5, 65201 Wiesbaden, Germany as well as Creditreform Oldenburg Bolte KG, Neue Donnerschweer Straße 36, 26123 Oldenburg , Germany. For this we transmit to these agencies the personal data they require to perform the checks.

2.3. In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options, we will pass to Klarna certain of your personal information, such as contact and order details, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you.

When you choose a payment method provided by our partner Billpay GmbH https://www.billpay.de/en/customers, you will be asked in the ordering process to agree to provide data required for payment processing and for identity and credit checks conducted by Billpay. Once you have given approval, your data (first and last name, street, house number, postcode, place, date of birth, telephone number and bank account details for Direct Debit) and other data linked to your order will be transmitted to Billpay.
For the purpose of separate identity and credit checks, Billpay (or a partner company authorized by Billpay) transmits data to credit reporting agencies (credit bureaus) and obtains from these agencies information (and, if necessary, additional information on credit checks based on mathematical and statistical methods). This credit check is influenced by your place of residence. Furthermore Billpay utilises, when necessary, a third party for the settlement and prevention of fraud. Data obtained from this third party is encrypted so that the stored data is only accessible to Billpay. This data will only be used when you select a payment option in cooperation with Billpay, otherwise the data will automatically expire after 30 minutes.

2.4. The customer order data is saved and the order information sent to you by email. For security reasons the order details are not accessible online.

Excepted are any orders placed using your myreichelt account identification. With the myreichelt account you can use the following functions and save the associated data:
- Customer information, payment method, bank account (where necessary)
- Store configuration - for the preferred presentation of products on Our Site and the appropriate presentation for you as either a private or business customer
- content of shopping carts
- Display of order status, track and trace and order history

The access to your myreichelt account is protected by your customer name and password. Therefore, we recommend that you always treat the access code to your account as confidential.
