Banana Pi comes with an ARM7 1-GHz dual-core CPU and an ARM Mali400MP2 GPU and is equipped as standard with Gigabit Ethernet and 1 GB of DDR3 memory with SATA support. It is as small as the Raspberry Pi but with considerably higher performance.
Migrating expansions or modules for the Raspberry Pi to the Banana Pi requires only minor adjustments.
The centrepiece of the Banana Pi is the system-on-a-chip Allwinner A20 CPU with 1 GB of working memory and Gigabit Ethernet. The power gives you a wide array of choices when it comes to implementing your application.
Banana Pi has the same GPIOs and the identical layout as the RPi, but also comes with a control key and a TTL interface. Banana Pi works perfectly with Debian Linux. The Banana Pi hardware is powerful enough for it to be used as a basis for a working Internet service cluster.
