BOB3 :: Robot kit — learn to program
B-O-B-3 — fun with coding!
BOB3 is a small robot that has been specially developed for school pupils to learn to build and program.
The BOB3 PCB is made up of a total of 26 components: the ATmega88A and 12 other SMD components are pre-assembled and 13 THT components are still to be soldered on. Building instructions with plenty of images and a soldering primer explain the assembly process in detail. BOB3 has touch sensors as arms, he can send and receive an IR code, he can turn on his white spotlights, make his eyes flash in all different colours, distinguish between near and far and much more!
The BOB3 can then be programmed via USB using the ProgBob programming helmet, which is available separately. A web application is available for the programming and provides both an interactive programming interface and a motivating programming course with 8 tutorials and over 100 lessons. Users can collect medals, bonus points, experience values and awards during the individual course sections.
Depending on the level of knowledge, the number of correctly resolved tasks and the completed courses, the user can be awarded titles such as Basic Coder, Third-Level Coder or ultimately even Master Coder!
