M 176 :: Marten repeller IP65 for motor vehicles 12 - 15 V/DC
- High-voltage plates
... drives out martens by electrically charged high-voltage plates (at 200 - 300 V/DC) in the engine compartment which give the animal an electric shock (only weak current pulses that chase the marten away and do not kill it) and by strong, aggressively pulsating ultrasonic sounds Very low power consumption (<0.005 A), automatically turns off when the battery voltage is at <11.5 V/DC (does not fully drain the battery when the car is parked for a longer period of time).
* IP 65 = no ingress of dust with a vacuum pressure of 20 mbar in the enclosure, protected against water spray from any direction on the housing (equivalent to 12.5 ltr. /minute e.g. garden hose, trial period 5 minutes, information subject to change).
Waterproof | 3-fold effectiveness: ultrasound, electric shock, pulsating light.
The control unit with the speaker is waterproof in line with IP65* (can be mounted to the car's entry holes)
12 - 15 V/DC (car battery)
Average power consumption
< 5 mA
Soft-start, so that the on-board computer is not disturbed.
If the battery voltage falls below 11.5 V (± 5%)
approx. 200 - 300 V DC
approx. 22 kHz ± 10%
max. approx. 100 dB ± 20% (ultrasonic devices should have a sound pressure level
of over 100 dB(C), in order to prevent habituation (result: ADAC test). (Source de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marderabwehr)
Ultrasonic dispersion angle
Structural-borne sound emitter which makes the top of the housing vibrate (waterproof)
Sine, aggressive pulsing
Approx. -25 to +80°C
Flashing LED (approximately every 5 - 12 sec)
High voltage cable length
Approx. 4 m (± 10%)
Fuse in the fuse holder
High-voltage contact plates
6 pieces, movable, each approx. 62 x 42 mm
Base unit dimensions
Approx. 40 X 50 x 70 mm (without cable entry + mounting feet)
Cable for terminal 15
If this cable is connected with "plus", the marten repeller switches off. If it is connected with "minus" or does not receive a signal, the marten repeller switches on.
CAN data bus
Suitable for vehicles with CAN data bus.
The device is protected against voltage spikes in the on-board network to 40 V (< 20 ms).
The built-in pulsing LED also confuses nocturnal martens.
Why has the device does not change in frequency?
Martens and other small predators emit short intense warning cries, not siren sounds! Our marten repeller emits these tones in a life-like manner and is thus the perfect method for deterring martens.
