Compact, portable fume extraction system. Base unit with powerful fan, efficient standard filters and pre-filter.

Note: special price for a limited time only!

The quiet, high-performance, maintenance-free pump motor efficiently draws the toxic fumes from the soldering working area.

Air flow control — variable fan speed

• Compact design easily fits under the workspace
• Variable fan speed
• 350-m³ air flow per hour
• 75-mm hose diameter
• Noise level below 50 dB
• Dimensions: 460 x 310 x 310 mm
• Hose approx. 250 cm, 2x included
• 3-way filter system (pre-filter/HEPA/carbon)
• 3M Filtrete(TM) air filter medium type G-100

Since 2006, the European RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) has ensured that the use of the heavy metal lead in electronics is reduced to a minimum. However, the fumes generated by lead-free soldering contain much more fine respirable dust. Small particles are released in larger quantities through the use of more flux at higher temperatures.
Many countries already have reacted with statutory directives to improve and protect the air in the workplace. These directives govern the cleaning and/or prevention of hazardous pollutants in the air.
In contrast to large particles of dirt, the danger of this fine dust is that it can be inhaled and cause cancer. The smaller the particles are, the deeper they can penetrate into the lungs and the more harmful they are.
The job of a fume extractor is to take the contaminated air away from the workplace and filter out the particles. This is done using a multi-level filtering technique, which traps coarse dirt particles in a pre-filter, a HEPA filter and finally an active carbon filter.
